Time Out in Weston Super Mare

After having been for around two years just forty minutes away from the English chilly seaside, I managed to organise a day trip to find out what it was like.
The trip from Bristol to Weston-super-mare was fantastic! My friend and I commented for the entire journey how amazing the green landscape was (and the blue sky - an unique sight in England) and how it all looked like a postcard from the South West.

When we arrived, we immediately went for a walk (and a liberating run) on the beach and along the pier. We quickly noticed that Weston is a lovely coastal town but also a very quiet one - the average age is probably around 70 years old.

After having had a hot dog on the Grand Pier and watched the sea under the sun, we spent ages playing in the Arcade, trying to win some prizes (we didn't manage to get any soft toy but we did get some candy!).

Walking inside the town we also managed to find a few shops (WH Smith, M & S, Costa, Superdrug, Boots) and had a look around. Obviously I couldn't help myself from buying a book (Far from the Madding Crowd by Thomas Hardy. They made a new edition because of the beautiful BBC production).

Overall, we had a lovely day in Weston. It's a nice place when the weather allows it and it can be a nice break in between exams.

  8. I'm ashamed to say I have not. It's only 4 hours north. I have no idea why I've lived here 10 years and not been! I have gone up to Sedona which is really beautiful but I need to get my family together and go to the Grand Canyon
