The Body Book by Cameron Díaz with Sandra Bark - Book Review

The Body Book is a health manual that will push you towards re-starting your diet, exercising and feeling good. I didn't read it all in one go, but have consulted it in the span of a few months; since it's not a novel, its message is supposed to be absorbed gradually (yes, I had to remind myself).
This book is very simple: it's structured in chapters and smaller sections about the human female body, food, exercise, routine and mindfulness. It is certainly not a biology handbook, although it contains quite a lot of scientific information. I wouldn't read it if I were a science student, but the chapters other than the body ones can be inspiring for everyone: the book helped me restore my interest in behaving while eating (aka avoiding the junk!) and exercising, which I had stopped doing regularly for a while. In this sense it really pushed me and I'm glad I took it up! I now do yoga once a day for twenty minutes :) Díaz / Bark's style is very straightforward, and rather than reading I felt like they were talking me through that information. There were no points when the authors wanted to impose information on the reader, it was all smooth and nicely put.  I would recommend this book to women of all ages who are interested in their health and making a big change in their lives.

My edition: Cameron Díaz with Sandra Bark, 2014. The Body Book. London: Harper Collins Publishers. Pages: 280. The book has a very nice and clear layout.

Have you read The Body Book? If so, what were your thoughts on it?
