The Magic by Rhonda Byrnes - Book Review

The Magic is part of the series of The Secret by Rhonda Byrnes. It's a book about gratitude, understanding gratitude deeply and starting a gratitude practice and routine. This book has changed the way I live my daily life and my routine by adding a sparkle to it. It's improved the way I go about my day and how I mentally address all my actions and thoughts. This is why I'm sharing this with you - so that you can also improve your daily life by using two simple words: thank you.

The book revolves around one main idea: "Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him.” Although these words are taken from the Bible, the author inserts various quotes of the same idea from different religious and system beliefs throughout the book. Byrnes argues that gratitude can truly open your doors to abundance, happiness and all kinds of freedom. All you need to do is say thank you and feel thankful: that is the magic. 

After having described her challenges before practicing gratitude and her new life as a grateful person, the author describes 28 practices of gratitude to be followed day by day for 28 consecutive days. Some of my favourite exercises were 'the magic morning' (day 11) and 'magic dust everyone' (day 10). All chapters are described in such a positive, refreshing way that you can really feel the author's focus.

It would be best to follow all the exercises consistently and maintain the first couple of exercises (writing down a gratitude list in the morning and practicing gratitude in the evening). Personally, I wasn't consistent throughout the routine, but I made sure to finish the book in around a month and a half or two, which still made a huge difference. 

I cannot recommend this book enough. It's had a huge impact on my thought patterns and feelings and I hope you feel inspired to read it too! Of course, to wrap up, I'd like to say thank you for choosing to read my post and following my blog. I'm very grateful to you!
